INFORMATION SAFETY AND PRIVACY
When using our software to generate draft proposals, it is important to understand how your data is handled, including the potential limitations of data privacy and confidentiality when utilizing GrantGenie’s tools:
DATA USAGE AND ACCESS
The information you enter into GrantGenie is sent to OpenAI’s servers to be processed by the language model. OpenAI does not use your data to train or improve the model, but their authorized team may access it to troubleshoot issues or ensure legal compliance.
Your inputs are not connected to your identity and are not shared with other users. While the model may use publicly available information about your organization, it doesn't remember your specific inputs or reuse them in responses to others. The AI generates answers based on patterns, but it doesn’t store or remember what you’ve entered. The AI used in these tools are like text predictors. They generate natural text by predicting the next likely word, much like your smartphone does when it offers to finish your sentences for you.
DATA PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Even though OpenAI follows strong security standards, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Your inputs are processed in real time and are not stored for future training. To protect your organization’s privacy, avoid sharing highly sensitive or private information.
GrantGenie is designed to work well without needing you to input confidential details.
The proposals generated should be treated as drafts, and your organization should review and add specific details as needed.
DOCUMENT EDITING AND ACCESS
You can edit the draft proposals using GrantGenie's text editor. We won’t access or share your documents unless you give written consent. This ensures that the final content remains under your organization’s control. You can also copy and paste into a Google Doc or Word document for final editing.
